Resturant Grading To Change in Florida To Give More Detailed Reviews

Remember those food reviews that we've posted a few times on here? The reviews are a bit hard to read but luckily that will soon change. The Department of Business and Professional Regulations have adapted a new food code that will be in effect starting New Years Day. The system is switching from the standard 2 category system (critical and non-critical), to a new 3 category system. The new system will include a basic, intermediate, and high priority categories.

The implication of the system came about due to confusion from restaurant owners and customers, who didn't understand where the first category ended and the other began. DBPR officials hope that this new system will help relieve some of this confusion. Officials and owners are currently working on making this transition a smooth one.
