OLA Fest to Bring Movies From 9 Countries to Orlando

While there are plenty of outside activities this weekend if you're looking to stay inside and away from those pesky mosquitoes that are already seeming to awaken from their winter slumber then OLA Fest 2013 might be just what you're looking for. The Orlando Latin American Film and Heritage fills two weekends with films from eight different Latin American nations and Spain along with bringing in artist Albert Quintero from Columbia and music from Diego De Caceres.  The films are all screened at the Premier Cinemas found on the second level of Fashion Square Mall.  The cost for each film is $5, except for "Take Me Home" which is $10 that includes a $5 donation to Second Harvest Food Bank.  It will be the Florida Premier of "Take Me Home" and of "Shift Change."  Both feature a Q&A with the filmmakers afterwards.  It should be noted that "Shift Change" is being screened at Rollins College not the Premier Cinemas.

On Friday, February 8th a free Opening Night reception will take place at the Hope CommUnity Center in Apopka beginning at 6:30pm.  The evening will include a number of speakers and events including the screening of "Acting Together on the World Stage" and a music video by Fabian Morales, the filmmaker behind "Take Me Home."

While at the Premier Cinemas if you haven't tried out the D-Box motion seats make sure to stick around for one more movie and check out these amazing seats that help draw you right into the film.
