Osceola County Fair Has Thrills But None Like What The Centrifuge Brain Project Has

The Osceola County Fair and Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show kicked off on February 8, 2013 at the Osceola Heritage Park.  The fair always has one of the best turnouts locally of livestock giving it an old Florida charm that many local fairs have long forgotten.  The tractor shows, baby show, children's pet show are something more reminiscent of Leave it to Beaver than modern Orlando.  Running through February 17th the fair offers many ride specials during the week.

The rides at the fair are always enjoyable and there does always seem to be something new but nothing like the rides featured in this video (see it below) that has made it's round across the internet over the last few weeks.  The Centrifuge Brain Project video and accompanying website feature a fictional Florida based research lab, the Institute for Centrifugal Research.  It's creator is Till Nowak, a Hamburg, Germany based digital artist, designer, and filmmaker.  The short film and art project written and directed by Nowak shows off his impressive CGI skills with almost believable rides, though as the film goes on and the rides grow in size and intensity it's quickly made apparent that this is a mockumentary.  I imagine these rides that are designed to simulate 'the prenatal experience' is what Bill Kitchen dreams at night.

Speaking of, have you seen his latest ride, The Polercoaster?  It's a 550' tower proposed for the I-Drive area that has an observation area at the top and a roller coaster wrapped around it.  Yep, a roller coaster 55 stories in the air.  That just might be something that the ICR might be interested in funding.
