Wicked National Tour is a Hot Box of Awesome

Last night was the second time I saw Wicked. It's great. Nothing more to be said. The only reason you won't see it is you are lazy. And I respect that. Or, you think the Bob Carr theatre is a relic ready to implode like its old neighbor the Amway Arena. Yes, the Bob Carr is a nightmare, with its hot dog stand junking up a hideous lobby. But the show is worth snaking through the hordes and waiting in line to use the bathroom during the 18 minute intermission. Everyone in the show is amazing, the set looks like the innards of a giant pocket watch, and the story itself is wonderful.  The show is in Orlando until March 10. Tickets begin at $45.

The show was understudy free, despite Galinda sounding like she needed a good two days off from whatever illness she is experiencing.

You can take nachos and hot dogs into the theatre. So sad.

The flying horse/donkey puppet sits motionless before the show begins. A map of some place that doesn't exist glitters and glows while you wait.

Speaking of glittering and glowing.
