There's a 7-11 coming to the corner of Colonial and Fern Creek. Hopefully it's nicer than that hell-hole down the street.
We also wonder how this will affect traffic in the area, which is a disaster. It feels like there's a stop light every 30 seconds. Adding a gas station to that mix? Yikes.
We vote close off a couple side streets' access to Colonial so there's no need for these lights. Or just remove the lights entirely. We're no city planner or urban genius. Maybe some of those people can come up with a solution. Heck, the area is getting glowing bus stops.
Frankly, the place could be a fun pedestrian place to walk around and shop. But do you *ever* see hordes of folks walking the sidewalks? No. The sidewalks are narrow and the traffic is cray. And yet, there are restaurants and bars throughout the area. It's like a baby downtown waiting to happen.
So make it happen.
Bring the 7-11!
