Angry Birds at Kennedy Space Center Perfect Weekend Option

Yesterday we posted a 'Let a Kid Be a Kid FCAT Survival Guide' but after they've survived FCAT week why not celebrate some this weekend?  A perfect place to spend the day relaxing is Kennedy Space Center.  The Visitors Center is in the midst of a decade long improvement initiative.  The latest addition to the center is the Angry Birds Space Encounter attraction.  The temporary kid-centric attraction features a number of mini games and a large gift shop. Angry Birds Space Encounter will call Kennedy Space Center home for the next year and half.

Now the attraction is focused on younger children but for those 3 to 7 or so this attraction can be great way to spend an hour or so.  Many of the exhibits are interactive via iPads built into the exhibits.  There is a slingshot area where little ones can test their Angry Bird skills first hand.  A mirror maze, lazer challenge, and green screen are also in the attraction.
