Art Group The Three Bears Accuse Downtown Orlando Bar On the Rocks Downtown of Selling a Painting and Avoiding Payment

A group named The Three Bears curate shows in bars and various venues around Orlando. They are making a claim that the bar On the Rocks Downtown sold one of the paintings displayed in the bar, but did not pay the group for the painting and avoided contact with the group. Below is their claim taken from Urban Spoon's website and above is the painting. We reached out to the bar for comment and are awaiting a response.

Hello Friends. As you know ... And The Three Bears no longer curate On The Rocks Downtown here in Orlando FL. Our last show there was with Peterson J Guerrier from Mid December to Mid February. While the show was up an An Employee of On The Rocks sold this painting.. Since February 20th, we ( ...and The three Bears) have been trying to get in contact with the bar to obtain the payment for the artwork. We have not been contacted and have been ignored in our attempts to resolve the issue with On The Rocks. Please share this as much as possible so that our city remains professional and with the artists best interests at heart. We feel as curators and artists It is unacceptable that they have still not tried to make this right and pay for the painting that has been sold. WE hope that this knowledge helps you determine where you choose to go to support the art community in downtown Orlando. For artists out there looking for venues, please keep in mind our situation with this establishment. If you do one of us wrong in this community, you do wrong to all of us. Please share this, and keep sharing this until this is resolved.
