Andrew McMahon played a sold-out show at The Beacham Theater last Saturday with opening acts Kate Earl and Erland Wanberg.
Andrew McMahon is a singer/songwriter who is the frontman for the bands Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin. Andrew started his set by playing the song “Holiday From Real” and songs from Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin such as "The Mixed Tape", "I Woke Up in a Car", “The Resolution” and “Learn To Dance”. Andrew also performed three new songs from his EP The Pop Underground, which some fans knew all the words to and sang along , surprising Andrew. Andrew McMahon showcased amazing piano skills and gave an energetic performance by standing on his piano and jumping around the stage. Throughout the show, the audience was energetic, jumped up and down, clapped and sang along to the songs.
In his set, Andrew thanked his fans for all their support that they have given him throughout the years and talked about his amazing experiences as a song writer. He also discussed the importance of living in the moment and being happy about what we have in life.
Andrew ended the show with an encore of three songs that included “No Man Is An Island”, “Konstantine”, and “La La Lie”. Before leaving the stage, Andrew thanked the crowd again, promised the audience that he would return to Orlando soon and that his new album The Pop Underground will be released on April 30th.
