Lemonade Stands To Take Over Downtown Orlando

On Thursday, May 2, 2013 at noon, the “Make a Stand” Lemonade Project will take place at Orlando City Hall Plaza. Mayor Dyer will join 9-year-old activist Vivienne Harr, whose “Make a Stand” Lemonade project has raised more than $400,000 to help end childhood slavery.

"Vivie's project went viral after Nicholas Kristof, a New York Times op-ed columnist, tweeted about@vivienneharr and #MAKEASTAND LEMONADE. She's also been featured on many media outlets including the BBC and Yahoo."
Vivienne’s project was inspired by the work of photographer Lisa Kristine and lemonade stands will be set up throughout Downtown Orlando to involve the entire community and celebrate the one-year anniversary of “Make a Stand.” This event is part of the fourth annual SNAP! Orlando, a four-day photography celebration showcasing the work of international, national and local photographers.
