Mixology has been all the craze the last few years and an ever increasing number of Orlando bars and clubs are adding a mixologist to their offerings. This is all fine but what about when you take a cruise, heaven forbid I give up my drink just to get a midnight buffet. Well do not fear for Carnival Cruises now have mixologist on 4 (soon to be 5) of their ships.
Yes they've suffered a few blows in the media lately, but hey that just means cheaper rates for the rest of us!
And with that money you'll save on those discounted rates swing by the Alchemy Bar on the ships. The bars are staffed with one of 10 mixologist Carnival has on staff (a staff of 30,000). At the bars drinks go for just under $9 a piece but many seem to promise not only a good drink but a 'mood enhancing' experience. While a menu is offered the Master Mixologists will create a custom creation just for you via your "prescription." You choose the liquor ($1 upcharge for Ultra Premium liquor) then pick a fruit or herb or you can have a consultation and tell the mixologist a flavor you're seeking and they will create a custom cocktail just for you.
