Maoz Vegetarian is opening soon at Mall at Millenia. The Amsterdam based falafel restaurant opened its first American location in 2004. The chain currently has twelve locations in Europe and America, half being in America. Florida currently has two locations, both in South Florida, making the state the second most popular place for the chain, behind their home in the Netherlands that hosts three locations.
The food is similar to the pockets offered at Pita Pit. Maoz offers both a gluten free white or whole-wheat pita pocket that is then filled with crispy falafel balls and topped with a variety of toppings such as lettuce, red or green chili sauce, yogurt, and tahini. The menu also features sweet potato fries, thick cut Belgian fries, vegan rice pudding, a daily soup, and hummus along with a line of unique drinks including mint lemonade and fresh squeezed orange, apple, kale, beet, and carrot juice. The chain prides itself on using many locally sourced ingredients and fresh daily made sauces.
