How Could Orlando Fringe Be Better?

The final question on TheDailyCity.com Audience Choice Awards ballot is "What would make the festival better next year?" (Remember that round 2 voting starts today at noon. Go here to vote. Winners announced at Fringe 10pm Sunday night.) Many of you answered that question. Here are a select number of things voters mentioned. Leave a comment if you'd like to add your two cents. Again, these came from the ballots cast by voters.
  • cut down on the number of shows! too many to see, not enough time
  • free parking
  • a shuttle bus (not a bike) to and from a free parking garage (for performers who have stuff to schlep.)
  • better website. better directions. an iphone app. better signage. better graphics.
  • a transit system to go from venue to venue.
  • less spread out.
  • there should be a 'day button' that's only $5. it would make convincing non-theatre people, who are only coming to the festival to see one show...maybe with the chance at the end of the day to - upgrade your button, if you see something, hang out out the festival, and think, 'i wanna see more stuff' - really simple buttons...each day a different color.
  • better advertising.
  • weather proofing: mulch for the outdoor area for better drainage, less puddles.
  • more healthy & vegetarian food vending to showcase orlando's amazing local options.
  • maybe one huge big top tent to contain the beer bar, liquor bar and music stage all in one area!
  • for those artists who would like (and they all should), some way to drop a comment card after shows. of course, encouraging kudos and/or constructive criticism.
  • more publicity from local media and extend the run for the most popular shows.
  • better signage. it was a bit difficult to locate the silver and green venues once it became dark
  • add valet parking. would rather pay someone to park my car than to search one a spot. :)
  • to have more meet and greets from the shows
  • more vendors accepting cards/ability to purchase fringe button with card
  • the lawn wasn't as lively as usual. i think adding three extra venues in one year was a bit much. many people felt stretched.
  • having it longer, maybe 3 weeks, so it can be possible to se more shows. there is never enough time to see all that you want to see!
