Another Winter Park area restaurant has shut down, but this one did it a bit differently. Barducci's Italian Bistro (7550 University Blvd, Winter Park) not only shut down abruptly, but informed its employees of the closure and of their job loss via text message.

And it gets better. It informed its employees of the loss of their job not only via text message but on the Fourth of July.

The text messages address each employee by name, then reads:

"I unfortunately need to inform you that I have been forced to close Barducci's effective immediately."Owner Gregory Kennedy then went on to explain that despite efforts to keep the restaurant open, it was being shut down immediately. WFTV.com reports that Kennedy is now working with employees to deliver them their final paychecks. Groupon has also said it will give a refund to any customers who purchased Groupons to the shuttered restaurant.
