Taco Bell is more known for its price point than its health focus, but a new menu it's testing might change that. Their new Power Protein Menu and a new zero-calorie beverage menu began testing in the Dayton, Ohio market on July 25, 2013. The new protein focused menu will only feature items with more than 20 grams of protein and less than 450 calories.
The burrito on the new menu features double portions of chicken or steak, romaine lettuce, roasted corn and pepper salsa, pico de gallo, guacamole, reduced-fat sour cream, all in a flour tortilla. It will go for between $3.59 and $3.99, depending on how you build yours.
A Power Protein Bowl adds black beans to the mix and goes for between $4.79 and $5.19, depending on what options you select.
The beverage menu includes SoBe Lifewater Yumberry Pomegranate, a vitamin B and E–infused hydration beverage; and Brisk No Calorie Peach Iced Green Tea.
