Fans of the output of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright rejoice! Their newest instant-classic, The World's End, opens in multiplex theaters all over Central Florida on Friday. However, true blue fans will be pleased to know that there are three multiplexes in the area that will be running the so-called Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and the previously mentioned World's End) back-to-back-to-back on Thursday evening, August 22nd, starting at 5:30 pm. The Cornetto Trilogy is not a trilogy in the classic sense--the films share no heroes or story lines--but they are linked by their themes, cinematic viewpoint, copious popular culture references, and a fondness that the characters all seem to have for the Cornetto ice cream brand, a British equivalent to Drumstick. To see the films--in a theater, as its creators intended--head to AMC Downtown Disney 24, Regal Waterford Lakes 20, or Regal Winter Park Village 20.  It may be better to buy tickets for this event online, but as of this article's publishing, none of the screenings have sold out, so you could possibly try your luck just waltzing up to the box office.

How's that for a slice of fried gold?
