Last night, guests attending Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida got an extra unexpected Halloween treat, in the form a preview of next year's hottest theme park expansion. Visitors exiting haunted houses inside the park's soundstages could see the second of two Hogwarts Express trains, which was recently raised onto the elevated railway connecting the original Wizarding World of Harry. Potter in Islands of Adventure to the new Diagon Alley area under construction in Universal Studios Florida.
As you can see from the following photos, the train comes complete with a locomotive, coal car (which carries the audio/visual electronics that will power the train's "magical" windows) and multiple passenger cars.
When the new area opens in Summer 2014, guests will be able to travel from Platform 9 3/4 in London's Kings Cross station to Hogsmeade Village, or vice versal, making it the first fully-themed inter-park transportation system in the industry.
