Public Meeting to Examine Orange Avenue Corridor Transportation Alternatives

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public meeting that will examine transportation alternatives covering the Orange Avenue corridor in Orlando.

The study involves the development of a range of feasible improvement strategies to provide a safe and efficient multi-modal transportation corridor that serves a wide array of users while providing and enhancing livability consistent with the future vision for the area. The project limits are from Pineloch Avenue to Anderson Street, a distance of approximately two miles.

The meeting is Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Beardall Senior Center located at 800 S. Delaney Avenue, Orlando. FL 32801. The meeting begins as an open house at 5:00 p.m. with a presentation describing the different project alternatives at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting is being conducted to explain the study process, seek public and agencies’ input, and provide interested persons an opportunity to get involved in the study.
