I am super excited to have a bit of North Carolina, my home state, heading to Orlando!. We met the owners of The Cowfish, Alan Springate and Marcus Hall at Universal Orlando's press event for the upcoming CityWalk expansion. These two very entertaining guys are promising one of the most unique restaurant experiences coming to O-town.

What can we expect from The Cowfish?

A restaurant promising innovative sushi that joins forces with creative burgers for an untraditional dining experience. Win-win! One of the result: “Burgushi,” a cutting-edge fusion of burger and sushi. Burgushi items include sushi rolls created using burger components and sandwiches created using sushi elements. In addition to the Burgushi expect all natural, creative and hearty, the burgers entice with fresh, never frozen, ingredients and bold flavors. Spiked hand-spun milkshakes, premium sakes, craft beers, wine and 10oz exotic martinis round out a huge bar menu that is sure to please. The Cowfish aims to offer something for the entire family. Scrumptious appetizers for sharing, hot soups and entree-sized salads, homemade desserts and a fun kid's menu.

You may have seen The Cowfish on the show Tanked. Tanked created a show piece for one of their 2 North Carolina restaurants. The guys gave us some clues to the decor of their upcoming Orlando location which will include an interactive table experience where guests can create a virtual reality fish and then "drop" it in a virtual reality tank and watch it swim around!

Check out photos of their North Carolina locations here.

Don't you get the feeling you could totally hang out with them? We'll be heading to the Charlotte location while we're home for the holidays! It'll have to last us until the Orlando location opens!
