The Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (11th Floor, Pod C, 83 W. Miller Street, Orlando, FL 32806) will be holding a press conference Tuesday February 18th to announce the opening of the Haley Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a 30-bed expansion that will make the hospital’s NICU the largest in the world under one roof.
Located on the eleventh floor of Winnie Palmer Hospital, the new $13-million unit was funded totally through philanthropic support.
The current 44,000-square foot NICU, is already one of the busiest in the country, but an increase in the incidence of prematurity in newborns has placed added demand on the services the NICU provides.
