Extending their Summer Classical Season into a year-round entity, non-profit arts organization Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) is proud to present their inaugural Spring Classical Season concert, Exploring the World of Romance!
Revealing the mystery of romantic composers, the CFCArts Classical Choir will sing selections such as Mozart’s Regina Coeli, Rossini’s I Gondoieri and Schubert’s Gloria. To be further guided through the musical foundations of the Romantic Period, the audience will also experience works of Neo-Romantic composers such as Randall Thompson and Jean Belmont in a beautiful concert that will feature the 75-voice choir and a feature chamber orchestra.
Exploring the World of Romance will be held at 7:30pm on Saturday, May 3 and at 2:30pm on Sunday, May 4, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Orlando Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789. General Admission tickets are $10 each, and are on sale now at http://cfcarts.com/exploring-the-world-of-romance/. Children age 12 and under will be admitted for free.
Joshua Vickery, founder and Executive Director of Central Florida Community Arts, created the organization to create opportunity for artists of all ages to come together and perform. Ticket prices to CFCArts’ shows are intentionally kept low to help make the arts accessible and affordable. Proceeds of all tickets purchased for this show will go to the Central Florida Community Arts organization, which also include a community choir, a gospel choir, a community orchestra, a children and youth arts program and the CFCArts School of Performing Arts.
Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) entity whose mission is to create a cultural platform where every person of every age can join an artistic family and connect, serve and perform to advance the arts in Central Florida. Besides producing seasonal concerts, the heartbeat of CFCArts is to give back to the community by partnering with local non-profits and performing, for free, at their fundraisers or for the clients they serve. Immediate future plans include the continuing Spring 2014 seasons of the organization's Community Choir, Gospel Choir, String Orchestra, Wind Orchestra and Children & Youth programs, as well as extended classes in their School of Performing Arts.
