Chef Night Dinner Series - Top Area Chefs Prepare Multi-Course Dinner at Second Harvest Food Bank's Community Kitchen

"Chef's Night" is a "Catering for Good" dinner series that brings top chefs into Second Harvest Food Bank's Community Kitchen to celebrate delicious food and raise money for a good cause. The cost of "Chef’s Night" is $75.00 and is all-inclusive. Proceeds from this dinner series goes to the Second Harvest Community Kitchen supporting the culinary education program that helps put Central Floridians back to work.

The most recent "Chef's Night" at Second Harvest was Wednesday March 25, 2015, with featured Chef John Rivers, the creator of 4 Rivers Smokehouse restaurants and author of the Southern Cowboy Cookbook, a collection of recipes hailed for its infusion of tastes from Texas, the deep South and comfort foods. 

The next "Chef's Night" is May 27th and features Chef Kevin Fonzo.

Appetizer:
Shrimp Stuffed Fried Green Tomato with Bread and Butter Pickles / Watermelon Rind Relish

Course 1: 
Low Country Shrimp and Grits – Florida Rock Shrimp, Stone-Ground Grits and Spicy Tasso Reduction

Course 2:
Smokehouse Sideboard – Smoked Angus Brisket, Mangalista Baby Back Rib and Shoulder, Skillet Cornbread and Southern Collard Greens

Course 3:
Coffee-Rubbed Rib-Eye Steak – Cabernet Reduction, Gruyere Mash and Maple-Glazed Brussels

Course 4 – Dessert:
Double Chocolate Brioche Pudding with Bacon-Infused Creme Anglaise Salted Caramel 

Bourbon-Infused Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
