The Morse Museum's Celebration of Spring Kicks Off March 20

The Morse Museum’s celebration of spring begins March 20 on the Spring Equinox and first day of a three-day open house held in conjunction with the annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival.

The Museum continues its observance of this season of rebirth and renewal by inviting the public to other special events at which visitors can view the collection at no charge, walk among Tiffany leaded-glass windows ablaze with spring flowers and linger in Louis Comfort Tiffany’s serenely beautiful chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Programming includes live music, tours and other programs that enrich the experience.

For five consecutive spring Friday evenings (March 27 through April 24), visitors can enjoy not only free admission from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. but also live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to the music on those nights, the Morse will offer curator tours of the exhibitionLouis Comfort Tiffany’s Laurelton Hall at 7 p.m. The April 10 programming also includes a family tour of selected galleries and a demonstration on the art of leaded-glass windows with a free take-home art activity for children.
