The 520 Church Street Project is coming to South Eola/Thornton Park. The project consists of the following:
- two twelve-story buildings
- 586 multi-family units
- +/- 5,500 sq. ft. of office
- +/- 18,000 sq. ft. of commercial uses
The project is on 2.93 acres at 520 E. Church Street (MAP) on the Southeast intersection of E. Church St. & S. Osceola Ave. The site is a mostly vacant property located one block south of Lake Eola in South Eola.
Baker Barrios Architects, Inc has an application in for a Planned Development amendment to expand the boundaries of the existing Thornton Commons PD to include the 0.39 acres along the NW corner of the subject site. It will come before the board at the August 18th Municipal Planning Board hearing.
South Eola is a mixed-use neighborhood that serves as a transition between the high-intensity, high-rise downtown core and the lower scale neighborhoods to the east.
