Bonus + Commission Structure:
  • Bonus 1: 10% of all events profits: quarterly events, weekly events, special events 
  • Bonus 2: 10% of all net sponsorship sales that ED generates 
  • Bonus 3: 5% of all net sponsorship sales that are third-party generated that the ED manages

Job Description: 
The Executive Director interacts daily with local restaurants, business owners and property owners to assist with the revitalization of the area through marketing, fundraising, event planning, networking with tourism and convention organizers and volunteer coordination. The Executive Director works closely with business district merchants to assist with problem solving through communication with the City of Orlando and acts as a liaison for the community to the City. Position requires ongoing commitment to promoting the Church Street District as the premier Central Florida destination for dining, nightlife, sports and live entertainment.

Key Requirements 
  1. Minimum of 5 years in the Central Florida tourism and convention market with past membership and involvement in tourism-related organizations 
  2. Professional experience in one or more areas; marketing, sales, public relations, small business development, business administration, or economic development with interest in planning and community service 
  3. Bachelors degree required 
  4. Hospitality industry relationships are key, food and beverage past experience is a plus but not a requirement 
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software 
  6. Proficiency with social media platforms, content creation and trends 
  7. Creative, resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, passionate, energetic and sales-driven 
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  9. Schedule flexibility is essential. General office hours are weekdays from 10:00 am to 
  10. 6:00 pm but occasional evenings, late nights and weekends are necessary
