As we learned on August 1, Sassafrass Sweet Shop (Facebook) in Winter Park closed. We stopped by the place Tuesday and saw the empty shell of it's former glorious past. It's once bountiful shelves spilling over with love and Necco wafers aren't spilling anything but sugary memories of Saturday afternoon sugar binges. No pinstriped candy lollipops, no stacks of candy only your Grandmother would recognize. Nothing. Just.. empty candy-less misery.
