As I prepped for this years Florida Film Festival, I got to thinking of connections. There are movies that if you enjoy, you should check out other offerings in Orlando. So be on the look out for my Florida Film Festival Connections!

One of the first pre-festival screenings I got to attend was for Man vs. Snake: The Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler. It's a documentary about video games and one mans one BILLION point record. One quarter and over 40 hours of play!

As the website says "MAN VS. SNAKE… is filled with unexpected twists and turns and is an endearing, funny, and compelling tale of the triumph of the human spirit." I really enjoyed the film. You feel for these people and the stories, struggles and achievements. Another super cool element though is that I met some of the people in this film right here in Orlando!

Free Play Florida is a three day celebration of all things gaming. Your favorite Arcade, Pinball and Console games old and new all on free play with your paid admission! Walter Day and Billy Mitchell were at Free Play and they were in Man vs. Snake! Free Play will be returning to Orlando November 11- 13! Mark your calendar and live inside Man vs. Snake at least for a weekend!

So go see Man vs. Snake: The Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler. It's showing twice during the Florida Film Festival. Mon, April 11th 9:15PM - 11:05PM at the Enzian and
Thu, April 14th 9:30PM - 11:35PM at Regal Winter Park Village B
Get your tickets here.

Then live out your own video game challenge at Free Play Florida November 11-13! Check out their Facebook event for details. You won't need a quater but you'll have all weekend to make your record!
