Poor Board Attendance at August Citizens Police Review Board Caused Meeting to be Adjourned



The minutes from the Wednesday August 3rd Citizens Police Review Board reveal that the meeting was adjourned without action because not enough board members showed up. Mr. Henry Lim, Chairman, performed roll call and determined a quorum was not established. There being no quorum established, Henry Lim, Chairman, declared the meeting adjourned at 8:10 a.m. The less-then-board met in City Council Chambers, City Hall, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida. The next meeting is September 7, 2016 at 8:00 a.m.

The mission of the Citizens’ Police Review Board is to be an independent, citizen-run oversight committee of the Orlando Police Department’s Internal Affairs and determine whether or not Internal Affairs has properly investigated cases brought to its attention. Additionally, the Board fulfills its mission by reviewing policies, procedures, rules, regulations and general or special orders pertaining to the use of force and police conduct toward citizens.
