City of Orlando's Community Investment Program
Preliminary Funding Recommendations FY 16-17
As part of the FY16-17 budget process, City Council approved funding for 31 community service organizations. Through the Community Investment Program, the City of Orlando invests in efforts that solve community problems by granting funds to meet the needs of a growing central Florida population and address the diverse needs and challenges Orlando residents experience. Program focus areas include Homeless Program Support, Family Sustainability, Domestic Violence, Support of Seniors and Hunger Relief. This includes the distribution of $82,280 to the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness, $16,456 to the Orlando Humane Society for animal services and $82,280 to the Homeless Services Network. Approval is being requested for the funding agreements and distribution of approved funds to the agencies in the amounts specified in Exhibit A. A draft of the funding agreement is attached. |
