If City Council approves it during the February 13th meeting, City of Orlando Parks and Rec Department will be allowing Orlando Ballet School to operate a dance program at the College Park Community Center for a three month period in 2017, whereby Orlando Ballet School artists will provide instruction in performing arts for youth on Mondays from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
The 18,000 sf College Park Community Center serves as a facility for children, families and citizens can participate in programs and classes. It offers many amenities including multipurpose rooms, computer lab, playground, gym, game room, fitness center and more.
At the end of the program, participants will showcase what they have learned with a performance at the College Park Community Center on Friday April 10, 2017.
The Orlando Ballet School will provide all teaching artists and supplies for the program. Families, Parks and Recreation Director can extend the Agreement for up to one additional year, under the same terms and conditions, without further approval from City Council.
