Central Florida Earth Day Healthy living and eco-friendly exhibitors, speakers, fun and games for kids; dog and cat adoptions; restaurant booths; environmental and humane education and more will be taking place during Central Florida Earth Day! The fun takes place at Lake Eola Park 512 E Washington St (MAP) Saturday April 22 10 to 6.


Orlando’s Most Authentic German Fest Devotees of Oompa-pa bands, German beer, Bavarian style food, lively crowds and Chicken dancing will love the event called Orlando’s Most Authentic German Fest! Hang out in the Biergarten eating German food, drinking Hofbrau Beer on tap, dancing the schunkeln, toasting to Ein Prosit and enjoying live musical entertainment all day long. Orlando’s Most Authentic German Fest takes place at the German American Society of Central Florida at 381 Orange Ln, Casselberry, FL 32707 (MAP) Saturday April 22 2pm to 10pm.

Record Store Day Music fans can select from over 200 exclusive Record Store Day-branded musical releases, each a different musical genre. Record Store Day was conceived in 2007, to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores in the country. The fun takes place at Park Ave CDs 2916 Corrine Drive (MAP) Saturday April 22 8am to 11pm.


The Great Duck Derby The Great Duck Derby is a day of fun family activities featuring the famous rubber duck races! Adopt a race duck for just $5 or get a $20 Five-Duck Quack Pack. Admission, parking and other activities are FREE. Along with the races, activities include duckoration, bounce house, face painting, hayrides, silly sing-a-long, animal encounters, fire truck exploration, and hikes along the creek and throughout the garden. Food, drinks and sweet treats, as well as Duck Derby t-shirts and whistles will be available for purchase. Food trucks will be onsite at Mead Garden 1300 S. Vive la France Concert Weekend A program of French romantic and impressionist classical musical pieces performed by the Bach Festival Choir and Orchestra will be taking place at Vive la France Concert Weekend at Knowles Memorial Chapel 1000 Holt Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789 (MAP) Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23. March for Science The March for Science is the first step of a global movement to defend the vital role science plays in our health, safety, economies, and governments. The attendees will gather in the field at E. Robinson St. and N. Eola Drive at 10am. There will be pre-march speakers. Marching begins at 11am and ends up at the Walt Disney Amphitheater. There the guests will listen to guest speakers and presentations. They will finish the march around Lake Eola at Washington Street, adjacent to Central Florida Earth Day. The march is Saturday April 22 at 10am at Lake Eola Park.
Hannibal Square Folk & Urban Festival 25 artists including members of the original Florida Highwaymen; also music by the Porchdogs Cajun and Zydeco Band and Orisirisi African Folklore. A “Kid-folk” workshop culminates in a public parade. Food trucks. Free admission. Hannibal Square Heritage Center 642 W. New England Ave, Winter Park (MAP) Saturday April 22 10am-4pm.
