A request for Major Certificate of Appearance Approval of the Master Sign Plan for CitiTower (WEB) at 101 Lake Ave (MAP) was submitted to and reviewed by the City of Orlando Appearance Review Board by Creative Sign Designs. The multi-family and retail project includes 800 square feet of high-rise signage and approximately 307 square feet of low rise signage.
This project is a 25-story, 236 unit multi-family tower with 10,100 s.f. of ground level commercial space and a 310 space, 6-level integrated parking garage.
The Master Sign Plan includes high-rise CitiTower identification signs, low-rise building identifica- tion and retail tenant signs plus parking identification signs. Based on the City Land Development Code, the project is entitled to 614 square feet of signage copy area. However, since the project is asking for approval of 800 square feet of high-rise signs their low-rise sign allocation is reduced by 50% to 307 square feet of signage. The project is proposing to use 267 square feet of that signage allocation in this Master Sign Plan.
The project site is part of the Orlando Lutheran Towers II Planned Development. A PD amendment for this project was approved in 2014. In 2014 the FAA granted approval for a maximum height of 275 feet. The site plan and architecture was approved by the ARB for this project in November 2014.
