Canvs Opening Second Downtown Location

CanvsORL, Inc., will open a new 15-desk location at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy at 500 Bentley Street (MAP) with $50,000 from City of Orlando. The space will be called Canvs-Parramore. City will vote on it June 19th. 

Funding from the City of Orlando will cover the following:
  1. Salaries 
  2. Basic rent 
  3. Capital improvements to upgrade the space 
  4. Office supplies 
  5. Technology upgrades and maintenance 
  6. Programs and events 
  7. Management/expertise fee 
  8. Marketing fees 
  9. Reduced Membership Rates - 20% discount on monthly membership fee for eligible businesses. Maximum of three per year, per membership type. 
CanvsORL agrees to submit progress and financial reports on a quarterly basis. 

The City will use the following Performance Measures to determine the effectiveness of the Services provided by the Agency:
  1. Number of memberships (Community and Dedicated) per month. 
  2. Number of members and hours reserving the conference room space at the site. 
  3. Number and types of Programs/Workshops hosted at the site (Canvs-Parramore) and a list of Programs/Workshops offered at Canvs-Downtown open to Canvs-Parramore members. 
  4. Events - number of events and description 
  5. Marketing activities - list of activities 
  6. Capital improvements - list of improvements and costs to the space 
  7. Volunteer Hours (could be for programming or other resources) 
  8. One-on-One Mentoring provided by SCORE Orlando - number of hours 
  9. Canvs Perks - provided to Canvs - Parramore members. Number of members taking advantage of perks 
  10. Number of scholarships awarded per month, amount of scholarship and recipient business.
