5 Winter Park Things to Know:
  1. The Schematic Design for the new Winter Park Library is anticipated for January 2018
  2. Phase 2 of the Denning Drive refresh is expected to begin January 2018 and be complete May 2018 during the dry season. Phase 2 involves Fairbanks Avenue to Webster Avenue. Phase 3 (Webster to Solana) will wrap up early summer 2018. 
  3. Winter Park Housing Authority is requesting $56,732 for 50% of the expense from the City to convert an apartment at the Meadows into a fully accessible handicapped unit. This would be a total remodel that makes everything inside the apartment accessible for a wheelchair bound individual including bathroom fixtures/shower, kitchen counters and cabinets, etc. 
  4. Scenic Boat Tour ADA Ramp -  Construction of the new concrete ramp is underway and will substantially be complete by mid-December 2017. 
  5. Sign Code Revision - Planning staff is sending notices to 2,500 plus businesses regarding sign code changes. Anticipated to go to the City Commission on January 22.
