A home built in 1921 will be demolished at 330 Broadway Ave as part of a master plan request submitted by Mark Kinchla to the city for a four story, 5 unit, rear-loaded, townhome development called Fountain VU 5. Each unit will be 4,100 sq ft. and come with a double garage.
Kinchla says one of the benefits for his future residents is the "close proximity to the historic district" which is being reduced by one 1921 not-deemed-by-the-city-as-historic home.
The property is 1.422 acres and the townhouse front doors will face E. Ridgewood Ave. Modifications for side and front yard setback requirements are part of the master plan request. The property was sold January 22nd by Broadway Law Center Of Orlando LLC to Fountain Vu LLC.
The four story townhomes will blend well with the six-story Landmark Center buildings across the street (the giant mirrored glass buildings on Robinson), but Fountain VU does draw height into the residential enclave just north of Lake Eola. The townhomes will also help hide the hideous Landmark Center parking garages that sit next to the site.
