The owners of Bebe's and Liz's dress store at 311 S. Park Avenue will request an appeal to City Council February 26th for the denial they received to close a portion of down Park Ave between New England Avenue and Lyman Avenue April 29th 10am to 5pm for a "fashion runway show."
A 7 hour "fashion runway show."

Staff denied the event because of the complaints from other merchants each time the city approves a new closure of Park Avenue. While some merchants benefit others complain of lost revenue. This request is for a seven hour closure during the prime shopping hours on a Sunday.
The event is expected to bring in 350 attendees according to Bebe's and Liz's and the dress shop says applicants have held similar events during the Fall.
The store owner says they "are in dire need of customers" and that the avenue "needs more events to draw people..."
Their Facebook page says the two stores are "the most exclusive and unique children's and women's clothing on the Avenue and in the Central Florida area!"
The City said an alternative would be to relocate the event to a side street.
