  • Buy Local Orlando: This is a terrible initiative and here's why
  • Downtown Arts District: The Arts District represents and serves the arts community by providing promotional and financial assistance to art and cultural venues, public art projects, and signature events.
  • Downtown Development Board: The mission of the Orlando Downtown Development Board (DDB) is to strengthen the role of Downtown Orlando as the economic, governmental and cultural center of Central Florida. The DDB is responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of the City’s core area redevelopment and development program.
  • Florida Creatives: This effort wants to connect you to likeminded people - online and offline - with no membership fees, no product pitches, and a fresh look at networking
  • The Hive Orlando: monthly Think/Do Tank aimed at local solutions for sustainability
  • Main Street Program: ...advocates a return to community self-reliance, local empowerment, and the rebuilding of traditional commercial districts based on their unique assets: distinctive architecture, a pedestrian-friendly environment, personal service, local ownership, and a sense of community.
  • McRae Art Studios: McRae Art Studios is a collective of 22 artists who maintain individual businesses in art, yet work as a group.

Jessica Earley: She produced and curated Blunder Bungle, did all the curating for the first ever Audience Choice Awards and taught two guys how to knit at Stardust. I saw it with my own eyes. We introduced her to readers here almost a year ago.

Brian Feldman: (moved to Washington DC) He ate everything off the menu and ruined the 4th of July for me and continues to dazzle almost weekly with new ideas and events.

Patrick Greene: Pat produces Florida Quarterly Noise Report which integrates experimental sounds/music and art. He puts together a lot of the events and creative things at stardust and does installation work and performance art.
