(St. Petersburg, FL) January 21, 2008 –
Diana Lucas Leavengood’s Self Portrait w/Last Cigarette #3 has been selected to be part of
Self-Evident: Contemporary American Self-Portraiture, an exhibition featuring artwork that explores identity and self representation. Forty-four artists from across the United States will be on display at the Claypool-Young Art Gallery at Morehead State University (Morehead, KY) from January 30 to February 20.
Self Portrait w/Last Cigarette #3 is the latest (and hopefully last) installment of
Diana Lucas Leavengood's ongoing documentation of her smoking cessation attempts. Self-Portrait w/Last Cigarette #1 was selected for the Spring Salon in Toronto last year. Self-Portrait w/Last Cigarette #2 was briefly displayed in May on the race boat at the
Davis Island Yacht club where is caused a scene and had to be put away.
