1. Ryk McIntyre appearances
Ryk McIntyre, New England poet and "one of spoken word's early mainstays" according to Tod Caviness, will be performing two features this week:
Tuesday July 1, 9 p.m.2. First Thursdays
Diverse Word FREE spoken word poetry event
Dandelion Communitea Cafe
Thursday July 3, 9 p.m.
Broken Speech FREE spoken word poetry event
Stardust Coffee & Video
This month's First Thursdays event at the Orlando Museum of Art, 6-9 p.m. July 3, will feature the surrealist poetry of Tod Caviness, Trevor Fraser and Jesse Ross. Go see them confuse a roomful of art patrons. That alone is worth the $10 admission price. (TEN DOLLARS?) In addition to the high ticket price, there's music and presumably some art. Oh, and beer.
