The Miami Improv Festival, the festival I hold near and dear to my heart as THE FIRST out-of-town venue I took Improv Cabaret, is coming up soon. Gather your friends, rent a car and make a weekend of it. Miami is fabulous and only a three-hour drive, the shows are gonna be good and you can probably find a cheap hotel room. And if you can't, do what we did in 2007: sleep five to a room with two on the floor.
And I just noticed that the newly formed Orlando group Offsides Improv is performing in the festival. These guys are all SAK-trained and most of them are SAK ensemble-apprentices. Don't hold that against them. They're funny.
