Pianist Hélène Grimaud played piano this year for the very last concert of Prom, the world’s largest classical music festival. Not only is it cool to BE in Proms, but to play the final concert is a big stinkin' deal:
"The Last Night of the Proms, at the Royal Albert Hall in London, is one of the most popular classical music concerts in the world, watched and listened to by an audience of many millions around the globe." -BBCWell guess what? Prom Queen Hélène Grimaud will be plunking her ivories down here Sunday, October 12 at 3:00 p.m in a solo piano recital in the Tiedtke Concert Hall on the Rollins College Campus.
“She is very much in demand as a recitalist,” said Executive Director of the Bach Festival Society, Betsy Gwinn. “Her schedule is very full, and we are so pleased that she will perform with the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park.”I wonder how much it cost to get her here.
