With the economy being so wonderful and arts orgs doing so well (ticket sales up, paying customers being evicted from sold-out theatres) what better to do that pay $450-$600 for a convention about sustainability in the arts? Sounds like smart thinking to me.
Spend June 18-20 with fellow arts employees who just have too much money and funding to know what to do with. Oh and don't forget your airfare, food, housing and that darling $20 hemp tote with the Americans For the Arts logo.________________________________________________

"Reflect on innovative ideas from speakers in more than 75 field-crafted sessions, plus tours and activities throughout the region.Please. If the arts are doing so poorly (we've all seen that letter circulating on facebook and email about Obama and funding) why is "Americans for the Arts" asking orgs to shell out cash to go to a convention? What can't be communicated online nowadays? If you need a vacation, then call it what it is. Otherwise, get back to work begging for cash.If I am wrong, please correct me.
