Brian Feldman - The End of Television Part 3

Brian Feldman's The End of Television Part 2 (2-17-09) was such a success, The New York Times' Media Decoder blog picked up the story, thanks to help from Orlando Sentinel writer Etan Horotwiz.

Now we've got part three: Friday June 12, 2009, 12:00am-11:59pm.

The End of Television: Part 3 will be a day-long storefront installation featuring old tv sets tuned to the remaining Central Florida analog signals displaying the transition from signal to static, as these tvs are not hooked up to digital converter boxes. This installation commemorates the end of analog broadcast television in the United States. There may be additional television sets tuned to stations of indeterminate origin.

It'll take place at Frames Forever & Art Gallery (941 Orange Ave Winter Park FL 32789, NE of S Orlando Ave / US 17-92, SW of Pennsylvania Ave)

If you show up between 12:00am to 8:59am, all television sets will have a broadcast signal. After 11:59pm, all television sets will show either static, or a special message about DTV, which in some cases will loop until Sun 12 July.
