The Nils M. Schweizer Fellows is a non profit corporation group of design enthusiasts united to promote awareness and seek the preservation of Central Florida's mid-century modern architecture. They meet monthly to discuss and identify the works of architects such as Nils M. Schweizer, Frank Sheehy, Lowell Lotspeich and Fred Lopatka and to develop preservation strategies for their works. Additionally, they exchange ideas, advance knowledge and encourage modern architecture as a solution to today's cluttered design and hectic lifestyle.
The Nils M. Schweizer Fellows will hold their June meeting at the Church of Good Shepherd in Maitland (331 Lake Avenue in Maitland FL 32751 | MAP) at 7 p.m. on Thursday June 18th. This Church was designed by Nils Schweizer in 1967.
