Peace Walkers at Dandelion

On June 2, 2009 something cool is happening at Dandelion: Brothers István and Ferenc Ivanics will be expecting activists, journalists and our community to join them for a multimedia presentation about their experiences of their peacetour around the Earth. The presentation will take place at Dandelion Communitea on Tuesday, June 2nd from 5 to 7pm.

The Ivanics brothers left in July 2007 from Palic, Serbia, Europe to walk around the world in name of peace, friendship and brotherhood. They hit the road with scarce financial support and with no special background, yet they arrived in Dakar, Senegal, Africa in about a year and a half. Now they are walking in the United States from Miami to San Antonio. Dandelion will be their second official stop in the USA.

During their journey they had to face many and varied demands and challenges, they had lots of adventures along the way. To name a few:
- the high mountains of the Alps in Austria
- frosty nights in the wild in France
- two weeks on a raw orange diet in Spain
- scorpions in Morocco
- landmines in Western-Sahara
- two-weeks walk in the uninhabited areas of the Sahara Desert
