No Words: Neanderthal Ball

The Neanderthal Ball at the Orlando Science Center
Saturday, November 7, 2009 - 7:00-11:00 p.m.
$100/ticket

Don’t miss out on the most interactive celebration since cavemen roamed the earth! Now is the time to party like a caveman with an animal print necktie or a bone in your hair during the Orlando Science Center's Neanderthal Ball on Saturday, November 7. From 7 to 11 p.m., enjoy a gala evening amidst the prehistoric atmosphere of the Science Center's dinosaur exhibit. Participate in a “diamond dig” for an authentic half-karat diamond, see a dinosaur come to life under the skilled hands of Disney topiary artists, or chisel your mark at the silent auction - all to benefit programs for youth at the Orlando Science Center.

The event is presented by Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with special thanks to print sponsor Sun Dance Graphics. During the Neanderthal Ball, guests will rock out with themed entertainment and music, create their own cave painting, and indulge in the delectable food and wine choices under the starlit sky on the beautiful SunTrust Terrace. Dress code is cocktail attire with an accent on “cavemen couture" - show your prehistoric flair with an animal print necktie or leopard pattern cocktail dress.

Step into the past to support the future by bidding on one of the incredible silent auction items like a 7-day Norwegian Coastal Voyage for four. If your bid is a winner, you and your party could be enjoying a luxurious voyage immersed in the cultures and landscapes of majestic Norway. Other items include exquisite dining experiences at Orlando’s hottest restaurants, golf outings, sports memorabilia, wine tastings, spa packages and unique opportunities like a Beluga Interaction Program and Dinner with Shamu - courtesty of SeaWorld.

The cost of the event is $100 per person for individual tickets or $1,000 for 12. Proceeds to benefit the Orlando Science Center, a 501(c)(3) organization. The Neanderthal Ball provides critical funds to provide operating support for educational programs and opportunities for youth, regardless of their ability to pay, to experience the fun and discovery of the Orlando Science Center.
