This past Saturday morning the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida piloted their brand new Produce to the People program at Victory World Outreach in Maitland. They delivered a truckload of produce to a team of volunteers who handed it out immediately. "We wanted to focus on fresh produce for this program because that can be the most difficult for our clients to have access to on a limited budget." They're doing two more of these "Produce to the People" events this month and could use the volunteers.
