The
Disney store rethink, led by the guidance of Steve Jobs and the assistance of the Apple Company, sounds unreal: trees that shoot fireworks, movie theatres with scent machines, a sales area called WWTD (What Would Tinkerbell Do?). They're being described by the New York Times as "a mall-based television channel" and "truly spectacular — beyond our imagination" by Bruce Tobin, Executive Vice President of the nation’s largest mall operator, Simon Property Group.
The president of Disney StoresWorldwide said “The world does not need another place to sell Disney merchandise." Agreed.
The first stores with this new renovation (costing one million per store!) will show up in May in Southern California, Long Island and Madrid.
