The Wall Street Journal theater critic and author Terry Teachout brought to Orlando by Winter Park Institute

Winter Park Institute welcomes The Wall Street Journal theater critic and author Terry Teachout (blog), one of the Institute’s Spring 2010 Distinguished Visiting Scholars and Artists. Teachout is the author of Pops: A Life of Louis Armstrong, published this month by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Background: Teachout will discuss his new book, Pops: A Life of Louis Armstrong, illuminating the life of one of America’s best-loved musical legends. As an added bonus, a jazz combo in the style of Louis Armstrong’s Hot Seven combo will interact with Teachout throughout the presentation and demonstrate the musical prowess behind this talented and complex man.
