White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Chair Nancy Sutley Visits Orlando Fire Station

On Monday, April 5, 2010, President Barack Obama’s chief environmental advisor and White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Chair Nancy Sutley visited Orlando to learn about the City’s emerging sustainability program, GreenWorks Orlando. She toured the Fire Station 1 in downtown Orlando and the City’s Super Critical Sludge Oxidation Plant at the Iron Bridge Water Treatment Facility. We followed Sutley on her tour of the fire station.

The green roof and cistern system allows for rain water collection. Water collected from this system is utilized for use in toilets.
