Brian Feldman | The Staring Contest

“Performance artist Marina Abramovíc is spending three solid months sitting silently staring at strangers. (The closest you’ll find in Florida is a fortnight following Brian Feldman.)” -Seth Kubersky, Orlando Weekly

30 hour fundraiser to get Brian Feldman to MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art) in New York by May 31 so he can participate in Marina Abramović’s 700+ hour durational performance (the longest duration of time that she has performed a single solo piece) called The Artist Is Present.

Marina Abramović is considered by many to be the most famous living performance artist, and, since there are no time limits on how long one may sit, Brian intends to sit with her for an entire day. (Learn more about this major performance)

10% of framing and art sales during the event also will go toward’s Brian’s trip (his first to NYC since August 2007 and first-ever to MoMA), which acclaimed sketch artist Thomas Thorspecken will be documenting.
